00 / Preamble

At ULIX.ai, we build tools that respect your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and our downloadable software, Skudio.

01

The "Local-First" Guarantee

Skudio is a local desktop application. We designed it specifically so that your sensitive business data remains entirely in your control.

System Architecture
  • API KeysKeys for OpenAI, Stability AI, ImageKit, Cloudinary, or ImgBB, whether input locally or imported from Lanyard, are stored securely in your operating system's native credential manager (Keychain/Credential Locker). We never transmit, log, or possess your keys.
  • Product DataYour CSV files, images, and product descriptions are processed locally on your machine or sent directly from your machine to your configured AI/Image providers. Currently, ULIX.ai never sees or stores your catalog, but this may change upon further development of the ULIX Nexus. You will be notified via in-app notifications when our policies change.
02

Information We Collect

We currently only collect the absolute minimum information necessary to provide our services and manage your license:

  • Account Information: Your email address when you join our waitlist, subscribe to our newsletter, or create a ULIX account.
  • License Verification Data: When you run Skudio, the software securely pings our server with your License Key and a hashed Hardware ID (HWID) to verify your purchase.
  • Payment Information: All payments are processed securely through our Payment Processor and Merchant of Record, Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Telemetry & Crash Reports: Skudio may send anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. This data contains stack traces and system environment info, but strips out personal product data. You can opt out of telemetry in the app settings.
03

Third-Party Services

While Skudio interacts with third-party services (like OpenAI or ImageKit), it does so directly from your computer using your credentials. Your relationship with those services is governed by their respective privacy policies. Our website uses standard analytics and payment gateways (Stripe) to operate our business.

04

Data Security & Rights

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the account and license data we do hold. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our support team. We ask that you share the level of data you wish us to delete, ammend, or share (critical, non-critical, or both critical AND non-critical), and understand that deletion of critical data (like account and license key data) will result in the cancellation of any current subscription and revokation of license keys. The only non-critical data we currently store are things like reviews, feedback, and crash data, as well as waitlist, early-access, and newsletter email sign-ups.
